Why Texas ATRAS?
When we began our journey with music as a couple, we were working together as All Things Russ And Suzanne, providing furniture building, lawn services, handy-person services and more! We had business cards with the acronym A.T.R.A.S. on the back. Little did I know the struggles we would see, making this decision.
After deciding on a name for our budding duo, Tom Taylor over at Middleton Brewing educated us on the definition of “ATRAS” in Spanish, which means ‘back’, or ‘from behind’. When we was finished laughing, I told him “It’s okay, because we ARE coming from behind, since we were together as a couple for 8 years before diving into music!
We embraced our hilarious name and now share this very history with our audiences!
We appreciate every opportunity to share our love of music with the world, and are especially grateful to be used to help heal the wounded and broken, with the music Russ has been inspired by God to write!
Original music is oftentimes first for the songwriter, and then to share. This is especially true with the songs we have written!!
